Wedding Massages

Today a good friend of mine made a suggestion of “wedding massages” to me. And as we are in the middle of the UK wedding season I thought I might write a little blog post about it.

Planning a wedding can be one of the most stressful experiences in our lives (I think it’s probably up there with moving house!) and so it makes sense to take some time out now and then to de-stress and relax. Seeing that it is supposed to be the happiest day of your life it would seem silly to go into it feeling frazzled and worn out.

I’m not too sure if there’s anything I could do to make a massage more ‘wedding-y’ (suggestions are very welcome!) and maybe the massage doesn’t need to be changed, but the simple act of giving yourself some treats in the run up to your wedding means that on the big day you’ll be feeling (and looking) refreshed and healthful.

Lots of stress can be very damaging for our immune systems, which means any little bugs or viruses could take a hold of you, and that would be disastrous for the upcoming nuptials. Massage has been shown to boost our immune system, and so a massage may keep you healthy and in tip top condition for your big day.

So remember in amongst all of the planning to plan a little treat for yourself as well!
